Highlights

Point 1

Heal Yourself at the Power Spots Throughout the Island!

Sensui Island's Goshiki-iwa Heal Yourself at the Power Spots Throughout the Island!
While Goshiki-iwa is particularly famous as a power spot on Sensui Island, the entire island can be considered a power spot. So, if you've come all the way to the island, it's a good idea to visit the various spiritual spots scattered throughout the island! Access to the island is via a ferry that departs from Tomonoura Port about every 20 minutes, with a round-trip fare of 240 yen for adults and 120 yen for children. First, let's walk along the coastal promenade and head towards Goshiki-iwa! As you walk along the promenade, you'll come across a place where the Seven Lucky Gods are said to be enshrined, and just walking there seems to bring good fortune. There are many other places on the island that are said to have high energy, so take your time and explore the island with the help of a power spot map!
Point 2

Detox with Electromagnetic Waves on the Beach!

Sensui Island's Goshiki-iwa Detox with Electromagnetic Waves on the Beach!
The sandy beach of Sensui Island is known as a place where you can release the electromagnetic waves that have accumulated in your body into the ground and detox digitally. About a 5-minute walk from the pier towards Goshiki Iwa, there is a sandy beach called Tanoura. Try touching the sand or even going barefoot if it's not too cold! By touching the sandy beach or going barefoot, you can expect an earthing effect where the electromagnetic waves accumulated in your body are released into the earth. This is especially recommended for those who work on computers a lot or spend a lot of time looking at their smartphones. By earthing slowly on the quiet sandy beach, your mind and body will surely become lighter!
Point 3

Landing on the Mysterious Shimakajima Island!

Sensui Island's Goshiki-iwa Landing on the Mysterious Shimakajima Island!
As you walk along the promenade towards Goshiki-iwa from the pier, you'll see a small island with a sheer rock face on your right called "Shimakajima". When the tide goes out, you can cross over to the island as it becomes connected to the beach. It's exciting to think that you can only reach the island for a limited time due to the ebb and flow of the tide! There is also a sandy beach called Hikora nearby, so there are many ways to enjoy yourself, whether it's relaxing on the beach or landing on the island to explore!
Point 4

Experience the Seto Inland Sea up close by climbing the observation deck!

Sensui Island's Goshiki-iwa Experience the Seto Inland Sea up close by climbing the observation deck!
There are five observation decks on Sensui Island, but the recommended one is the Akaiwa Observation Deck on the west side of Tomonoura, which overlooks the sea. If you go through the island's campsite and head in the direction indicated by the sign, you will find the observation deck in an open area. You can see the calm Seto Inland Sea in front of you and Tomonoura Harbor and Benten Island to your right. On the way to the observation deck, you may have to pass through the forest or climb stairs, which can be a bit challenging, but the breathtaking view you reach after the effort is unparalleled! It takes about 30 minutes from the pier, so it's recommended for those who have plenty of time and want to trek and refresh themselves!
Point 5

Detox in an Edo-style Bath where you can enjoy a day trip

After visiting power spots, wouldn't you like to soak in warm water and further heal your mind and body? For those people, we recommend the unique accommodation named "Kokokara, an inn where your life changes" which has an Edo-style bath that you can use. The theme of this bath is detoxification and healing. First, you enter a cave steam bath and sweat out toxins. Then, you can take a high-concentration saltwater bath, walk on the sandy beach, or take a herbal bath. It's a bath full of attractions where you can enjoy a tour of various types of baths. Since you take your time to warm up your body and detox, the entire process takes about 90 minutes. The fee is 1,870 yen for adults only (junior high school students and above), including a polo shirt, shorts, and a towel set. We recommend it for those who want to refresh themselves and relieve their daily fatigue!

Sensui Island's Goshiki-iwa Touch the 5-Colored Rocks of a Spiritual Island!
Touch the 5-Colored Rocks of a Spiritual Island!
On Sensui Island in Tomonoura, there are five mysterious rocks of different colors that are popular as power spots. After a five-minute boat ride from Tomonoura Port, you can see the rock face spanning about one kilometer on the island's beach, colored in blue, red, yellow, white, and black. As it is a place where the energy of heaven and earth gathers, you can recharge and relieve your daily fatigue by actually touching the rocks. It's also nice to take a leisurely stroll along the seaside promenade while looking at the rare rocks, and as there are other power spots on Sensui Island, it's recommended to spend a whole day fully enjoying the island!
