Miyajima

Miyajima is home to many historical buildings, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Itsukushima Shrine. It's said to have been built during the reign of Emperor Suiko over 1,400 years ago, and the sight of the torii gate standing in the sea is one of Japan's most iconic views. Other notable buildings include the five-story pagoda and Senjokaku.
