Access

Easy Access!
Access to the Yamato Museum is very easy. If you are using the train, take the JR Kure Line from JR Hiroshima Station and you will arrive at Kure Station in about 30 minutes. If you are coming by car, take the Hiroshima-Kure Road (Clear Line) and pass through the Kure IC to get to the Yamato Museum. You can also conveniently access it from the AGA IC by taking the East Hiroshima-Kure Expressway (free). Enjoy the wonderful exhibits at the Yamato Museum with comfortable transportation.

Parking Information for Yamato Museum
The parking lot at Yamato Museum is a paid lot, with a fee of 100 yen per hour. There are a total of 67 parking spaces available. As weekends and holidays tend to be crowded, we recommend that you come early. To fully enjoy the wonderful exhibits at Yamato Museum, we suggest that you check the parking situation in advance. Please come by car and explore the surrounding facilities as well!

館内には1/10スケールの戦艦大和や精巧な各種スケールの大和や他艦船が展示されています。お好きな方にはたまらない展示です。その他特殊潜航艇や回天も展示されています。 今日は8/11、終戦記念日を前に特に太平洋戦争で亡くなられた方々や平和な現在の日本に感謝しながら館内を見て回りました。大和を通して、改めて平和日本の有り難さを感じました。 大きな戦艦大和ばかりがどうしても目立ってしまう施設ですが、鹿児島の知覧特攻平和会館を訪れた時と同様に、大戦で犠牲になられた多くの方々に感謝すると共に、平和ボケしていた自分の心に、久しぶりに反戦意識が湧いてきました。 併せてウクライナでのロシアの侵攻が1日も早く終わる事を祈ります。 ほんとに久しぶりに戦争への気付きがあったいい施設でした。

戦艦大和を建造した呉。戦前から戦後の歴史も詳しく知ることが出来ました。 アクセスは広島駅からJR線1本で30分ほど。呉駅からも歩いてすぐです。 タイミングだと思いますが、前日に行った原爆資料館よりも混んでいました。 外人の方も日本人の方も多かったです。 入館してすぐ目に入る10分の1サイズの戦艦大和は素晴らしかったです。 展示もとても見やすく充実しており、小学生の子供も大人も、とても勉強になりました。大和シアターで観た映像も良かったです。 お土産もミュージアムショップで購入出来ます。文房具や戦艦の模型やプラモデル、海軍カレー等々、たくさんありました。 時間がなくて行けませんでしたが、すぐ近くに海上自衛隊の呉史料館もありました。 こちらも行ってみたいです。 広島観光なら、宮島や原爆資料館と共に、こちらも必須だと思います。オススメです。

戦艦大和を始めとする日本の艦隊シリーズの説明や、第二次世界大戦前後の呉の様子などを事細かに天神したミュージアム。2時間ほどじっくりと見学しました。 男性は興味惹かれますねー👀 一年半掛けてのリニューアル後、どうなるんでしょうか。
