Point 1

Enjoy the Changing Seasons of Flowers

The National Bikoku Hills Park is home to many rare and valuable flowers that are unusual in the prefecture. In spring, you can enjoy the scenery created by various flowers such as daffodils, nemophila, tulips, and in summer, sunflowers and hydrangeas. In autumn, you can enjoy the autumn leaves and cosmos, and in winter, you can see the scenery created by winter-blooming peonies and various flowers that change with the seasons. Explore the Park on a Road Train

The "Road Train" is a convenient vehicle that allows you to easily explore the vast park. As the name suggests, it's a train-shaped vehicle with a pop design and coloring that's popular among children. There are 7 spots where you can get off during the ride. During the winter illumination period, the body is decorated with light bulbs, creating a sparkling appearance. The fare is a flat rate of 400 yen for those aged 3 and above.

Enjoy Glamping in Nature

At "Lake Stays Shobara" on the premises, you can enjoy glamping, where you can easily enjoy nature. There are a total of seven large dome tents installed around the lake, and you can use them without bringing anything. Each tent comes with a toilet, shower, and barbecue room, so you can enjoy a private stay without worrying about the surroundings. The food provided is popular for its menu that focuses on using Shobara-grown vegetables and dairy products and promoting local production for local consumption.

Enjoy Illuminations

Every year from early November to early January, an illumination event is held at the National Biwako Hillside Park. Decorations are made every year according to various themes, making it an attractive point to enjoy different views. During the period, stage shows and fireworks displays are also held. The romantic park at night is popular as a dating spot for couples.

Enjoy a Barbecue

At the park, there are two places where you can enjoy a barbecue: the large lawn square and the Minori Village. There is also a kitchen area, so you don't have to worry about space for cooking or washing dishes. You can bring your own ingredients, so you can enjoy a barbecue that suits your taste. In Minori Village, there are also eight tables available. Since it's an area without reservations, it's recommended to visit early if you want to secure a good spot.

Nearest Stations are BingoShobara Station and Nanatsuka Station

The nearest stations to the Kokunai Bikoku Kyuryo Park are BingoShobara Station or Nanatsuka Station on the JR Geibi Line. From BingoShobara Station, the Bihoku Kotsu Express Bus runs direct buses depending on the season. If accessing by taxi from BingoShobara Station, it takes about 15 minutes. From Nanatsuka Station, it takes about 10 minutes. If accessing by car from outside the prefecture, it takes about 5 minutes from the Shobara IC on the Chugoku Expressway.

Annual Passport Available at a Great Value

Admission fees are free for elementary and junior high school students, 450 yen for adults (15 years old to under 65 years old), and 210 yen for those aged 65 and over. For those who frequently visit national parks, it is recommended to purchase an annual passport that allows you to use more than 10 national parks in other prefectures. The fee is 4,500 yen for adults (15 years old to under 65 years old) and 2,100 yen for those aged 65 and over. If you visit by car, a separate parking fee is required, which is 320 yen for regular cars and 100 yen for motorcycles.

沢山の花が咲いている広い公園です。訪問時にはチューリップや水仙が綺麗に咲いていました。園内にはレストランやピクニックエリアも有り、1日過ごせますね。直射日光を遮る場所が少ないので、暑い時期には熱中症対策必須。

イルミネーションがめっちゃキレイです。毎年テーマが変わってるみたいで、毎年の楽しみです。屋台や自販機、レストランも中にあり温かい食べ物や飲み物が買えます。すごく寒いので防寒はバッチリして行った方がいいです。

３年ぶりに備北丘陵公園のイルミネーションに行ってきましたが、まさに夢の世界！広大な敷地に広がる光の海。自然と調和したライトアップで、どこを見てもフォトジェニック。家族や恋人と訪れるのにピッタリな場所です。例年とても寒い印象があったのですが、今年は暖冬という事もあり気候も最高でした。飲食類は少しお高いですが光るあめなどは子供達も大喜びでした！また来年も訪れたいと思いました。
