紅葉を観に訪れました。 生憎、小雨が降っていた事もあり、あまりのんびりと歩く事ができませんでした。 もう少し後の方が、もっと鮮やかな色になるのかな? と、いう感じの色合いでした。 それでも、朱い橋とモミジの紅が綺麗でした。

2024/11.12(火) 参道のすぐ横に観光用の駐車場があり無料で利用できる。(公衆トイレを備えスペース30台分ぐらい) 緑の多い山の緩やかな斜面に建てられた古寺。平日のためか訪れる人も少なく、木々に覆われた落ち着いた雰囲気の境内の中、静謐な空間を味わいながら、少しずつ色づき始めた紅葉を眺めつつ散歩ができた。 「今高野山」は、新しいという高野山という意味で、寺の伝えによると弘法大師が開いたとされる説もあるが、歴史的には12世紀末期に後白河法皇が紀州高野山に大田荘を寄進したことにより、高野山勢力の荘園の拠点として発展したとのこと。参道沿いにある歴史資料館では簡単な成り立ちを学べる。 紅葉で有名だが全盛はまだこれからという感じで、葉の色づきはごく部分的だった。ぱっと見でもカエデ科の木は多く、秋が深まればそれは壮観だろうと思う。

駐車場がありました。 桜の時期がけれ外れてたので、のんびり参拝出来ました。 御朱印は書き置きをいただきました。
