The magnificent panorama of the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the Seto Inland Sea viewed from the 133m high peak is breathtaking! This spot has also been selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 Sunsets", and the sunset in particular is exceptional. It takes about a 20-minute walk from the parking lot to reach the observation deck at the summit.

Japan's First Designated National Park
Mt. Washu is located in Okayama Prefecture and is a scenic spot that was the first in Japan to be designated as a national park. In 2014, it celebrated its 80th anniversary of being designated as a national park. The name "Washu" comes from the fact that it resembles an eagle spreading its wings. There is an observation deck on Mt. Washu where you can enjoy views of the surrounding islands, including the Seto Ohashi Bridge. It's a beautiful spot where you can enjoy the harmonious combination of the blue sea, green nature-filled islands, and the white Seto Ohashi Bridge.
