Point 1

Stroll Through the Ushimado Olive Garden

Stroll Through the Ushimado Olive Garden
When visiting the Ushimado Olive Garden, one of the things to enjoy is strolling through the garden. As you walk through the green nature of the Ushimado Olive Garden, you'll see olive trees scattered here and there. The best time to visit is from September to November, when the color of the olives changes and they are at their most beautiful! During this time, you can enjoy a pleasant stroll surrounded by the scent of olives. Along the way, there are "Roman Hill" and "Bell of Happiness," which are recommended for taking photos. You can also enjoy the view of the Seto Inland Sea as you walk, making it a great way to take in the scenery. Just walking through the garden is full of things to see!
Point 2

A Shop Gathering Olive Items

The first floor of Ushimado Olive Shop is a directly managed store of Ushimado Olive Garden with the concept of "Olive in your daily life." Various products using olives are sold, including edible olive oil, olive trees, and cosmetics using olives. The skin cream is a product that can only be purchased here, so it's an item you'll definitely want to buy when you visit!

When you visit the Ushimado Olive Garden, don't forget to check out the cafe. On the second floor of the Ushimado Olive Shop, you'll find a cafe called "Roastery on the Hill." Here, you can enjoy coffee while taking in the view of the Seto Inland Sea and spending a relaxing time. The coffee uses beans that the owner personally selects and roasts in the shop, allowing you to enjoy a freshly brewed cup. The biggest feature of this cafe is that there is no lighting! They intentionally left out lighting so that you can experience the natural expression of the weather, season, and time. Enjoy the passing time while feeling the Seto Inland Sea and nature along with your coffee.
Point 4

"Japan's Aegean Sea" Viewed from the Observatory

On the third and fifth floors of the Ushimado Olive Shop, there are observatories where you can overlook the scenery. From the observatory, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery known as "Japan's Aegean Sea." The natural beauty of olive trees and the Seto Inland Sea creates a sense of openness. The view from the observatory is even more breathtaking than from the mountaintop plaza, offering a wider perspective. Depending on the weather, you can also see the Seto Ohashi Bridge. Come and fully experience the nature of the Seto Inland Sea from the observatory!
Point 5

Free Olive Harvest Experience in Ushimado

In Ushimado Olive Garden, an olive harvest festival is held in the fall. You can participate for free and actually experience olive harvesting. Enjoy the experience of harvesting while surrounded by the scent of olives. At the olive harvest festival, various events are prepared in addition to picking olives. In the past, there have been free tastings of freshly squeezed oil, tours of the olive garden, and sales of olive products. There were also kids' events that children could enjoy, so it might be fun to go with your family.
