コロナ明けの5月の平日に訪れたので観光客は少なく美しい街並みをゆっくり見ることができました。水路を泳ぐ錦鯉と菖蒲も美しく、日本らしくて素晴らしい景観でした。

用水路にいる、鯉が見たくて、津和野に来ました。殿町通りにある、水路だけに鯉がいて、そこら中の水路に鯉がいるわけ無いです。勘違いしてました。 鯉は人馴れしていて、夕方でしたが、沢山集まってきて、嬉しかった。

かねてから思い描いていた津和野と言う響きが耳心地が快く、その静寂の空隙に身を置いて見たかった。蒼蒼とした山々を掻き分け、点在する田畑を押し分けているRー9を走行中に不思議な風景に出くわした。 お爺ちゃんとお婆ちゃんや猫までも畑仕事をしている。なにか懐かしい風景にホッとして車速を落とした。ふと、これって風刺?…あぁ~そんな意味も有るのかな?… 益々これから向かう奥ぶかい津和野に期待が膨らむ瞬間だった。 引き込まれるように真っ直ぐな石畳の殿町を散策していると、用水路の鯉を見つけて覗き込み軽くご挨拶のワン子であった。 そしてぼんやりとした朝陽の早朝だった、その名残惜しい心緒を察してか…霧に包まれた出立となった。
