The Ancient Legends and History of Yamashiro Onsen
Yamashiro Onsen is a hot spring resort that is steeped in fascinating history and legends, located in the ancient capital of Japan, Kaga Hyakumangoku. About 1,300 years ago, in the second year of the Shinkan era (725 AD), a renowned monk named Gyoki encountered a particularly wise-looking crow on his way to Mt. Hakusan for training. The crow flew down for a moment, bathed in a beautiful hot spring that healed its wounds, and then flew off again with new feathers. Moved by this miraculous sight, Gyoki named the hot spring "Crow's Bath" and spread the word among the people. Come and spend a healing moment at Yamashiro Onsen, where history and the blessings of nature intersect.
