金沢21世紀美術館は、現代アートを楽しむには最適な場所です。建物自体もユニークで、円形のデザインが印象的。館内は広々としており、展示スペースも多彩で、常設展示と特別展示が交互に行われています。特に「スイミングプール」などのインスタレーションアートは大人気で、実際に体験できるアートの魅力を存分に感じることができます。アート初心者から熱心なファンまで、誰でも楽しめる作品が揃っています。周囲の公園とも調和していて、外の景色を眺めながらリラックスできるスポットも。アクセスも良好で、金沢を訪れるなら絶対に外せないスポットです。

私が初めて金沢21世紀美術館の存在を知ったのは、ラルクアンシエルのプールの中で演奏するプロモーションビデオ。水面部分にアクリル板をはめて、上に数センチ水が張ってあるプールと全く同じ原理の作品を観ることが出来ます。 この『スイミング・プール』かなりの人気展示!地下部への入場見学には予め予約が必要です。予約開始時間は観に行きたい当日の9:00から。ホームページでのWeb予約が簡単で早いですね。 地下部見学には時間制限あり、およそ5分間。写真はOKですが動画はNGとのこと。とっても異質で面白い水の無いプール内部を少ない時間ですが楽しめました。 このプール以外にも流石、美術館に21世紀と名が付くだけあり空間を贅沢に使った現代アートがずらり。なんとも感慨深く新鮮で摩訶不思議‥五感を刺激させられます。 美術館の目の前には兼六園や金沢城公園あり。長町武家屋敷跡も近くにあり、たっぷり金沢を堪能できます。

地下プールの見学に。美術館の外にあるオブジェは無料ですが、地下プールに行くには、チケットが必要です。 地下プールも、入館チケットもネット予約できますので、そちらがおすすめです。 地下プール以外は、アートがモダンすぎて、正直、凡人の私にはわからないですが、地下プールは映えます。広角アクションカムでの撮影がおすすめです。 プールは、予約しても貸切にはなりません。
