Kanazawa Castle Park, Symbol of Kaga Hyakumangoku

Kanazawa Castle Park, the symbol of Kanazawa City, is a place that embodies the history of Kaga Hyakumangoku. While the black sea cucumber plaster of the "Sotomomon" gate and the wooden bridge "Sotomomon Bridge" have a strong presence, the beautiful garden, which is also known as a rare stone wall museum nationwide, is also a must-see attraction. In addition, about 400 cherry blossom trees are in full bloom in spring. Furthermore, during the night illumination, you can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere. Why not feel the history and culture of Kaga Hyakumangoku along with the rich nature of this area?
Point 2

The Beautiful Cherry Blossoms in Ishikawa Gate

In Kanazawa Castle Park, Ishikawa Gate boasts around 400 cherry blossom trees that bloom magnificently in spring, creating a truly breathtaking sight. A photo of the cherry blossoms with this gate, which is designated as an important cultural property, in the background is a must-take shot. At night, the gate is lit up, creating a fantastic and surreal atmosphere. Why not enjoy the coexistence of history and nature at this spot, also known as the Ishigaki Museum?
Point 3

Fantastical Night View Illuminated by Lights

The night view of Kanazawa Castle Park spreads out with a fantastical beauty, as if you've wandered into a different world. The stone walls, gates, and gardens are enveloped in light, highlighting the silhouette of the castle. In particular, the Roto-mon Bridge and Tamon-in Maru Garden are not to be missed. The Hishi-yagura and Gojikken Nagaya are also illuminated, further enhancing their presence. Witnessing this magnificent scenery will deepen your understanding of Kanazawa City's history and culture.
Point 4

Beautiful Landscape Woven with History and Nature

Kanazawa Castle Park offers a beautiful landscape where the history of Kaga's million koku and the changing seasons of nature are in harmony. There are spots with historical value scattered throughout the park, such as a luxurious and gorgeous daimyo garden, various stone walls, and buildings recreated using traditional wooden frame construction. In spring, about 400 cherry blossoms bloom and the illuminated castle at night creates a fantastic atmosphere. Why not take a break here and feel the deep history and rich nature of this place?
Point 5

Stone Walls and Buildings Packed with Advanced Architectural Techniques

The allure of Kanazawa Castle Park lies in its luxurious and splendid buildings and stone walls built by the Maeda clan of the Kaga Domain. In particular, the Stone Wall Museum, which is rare even on a national level, allows you to see a variety of stone walls created over a period of 290 years. The recently restored "Nezumidomon" gate, which had been absent for 140 years, and the beautiful Tatsunokuchi Teien garden are also must-see attractions. Furthermore, you can feel the grandeur of the time from the remaining part of the high stone wall, which was over 22 meters tall.
