Features & How to Enjoy

Classic Onsen

Highlights

Point 1

Rich Mineral Springs

The biggest attraction of Kintaro Onsen is its rare mixture of "chloride springs" and "sulfur springs," which is uncommon in Japan. The natural hot springs, which gush forth from a depth of about 1,000 meters underground, have a plentiful supply of water and are full of beneficial minerals. In addition to its beautifying effects, the springs are said to be effective for treating wounds, skin diseases, cold sensitivity, lower back pain, and neuralgia. Drinking the water is also possible, and it is said to be effective for constipation and anemia. Please take your time and enjoy the carefully selected natural hot springs that flow through the facility.
Point 2

Refresh Yourself in a Rustic Bathhouse

One of our proudest features is not only the rich mineral quality of the hot springs, but also the abundance of bathing facilities. Once you pass through the cave-like entrance, you'll find yourself in a spacious bathhouse spanning 800 square meters. The bathhouse is covered in steam and decorated with famous stones and rocks from all over Japan, creating a rustic atmosphere. The first thing you'll notice is the Kutani-yaki ceramic mural covering the wall of the 300-tatami mat large bath. Created by the recipient of the Order of Culture, Mr. Asakura Ikkyu, you can enjoy the valuable artwork while soaking in the bath. Inside, there are various types of baths, such as a Jacuzzi-style bath, making it feel like a leisure facility. The outdoor bath is spacious and open, and in winter, you can even enjoy a snow bath.
Point 3

Directly Delivered Seafood Cuisine from Uozu Port

Located in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, Kintaro Onsen stands on a small hill overlooking the sea and the city. It's also close to the fishing port, offering fresh seafood cuisine. Toyama Bay, known as a natural fish tank, is famous for its abundant and diverse seafood throughout the year. Uozu Port is also close to the fishing grounds, allowing you to taste even fresher seafood. You can enjoy delicious local sake while staying at the inn, or simply come for a meal. Be sure to enjoy it with the hot springs.
Point 4

Satisfy Your Children with a Pool!

Kintaro Onsen Satisfy Your Children with a Pool!
Inside the hotel, there is a pool that operates only during the summer. There is also a shallow pool, perfect for young children to enjoy their first water play. The hotel also has a game corner and while it may be small, it's the perfect size for enjoying after a bath. Near the Kintaro Onsen, there is the Uozu Aquarium, which includes the amusement park and park called "Mirage Land". During the summer, you can enjoy the pool at Mirage Land, so we recommend a course where you play with your children to your heart's content, and then heal your fatigue at Kintaro Onsen.
