祝日午前9時頃に行きました。駐車場には他の車がありませんでしたが、地元の方と思しき数名が参拝していました。私たちの到着後、しばらくして続々と参拝客が訪問。駐車場は線路を渡って、鳥居をくぐって左手にあります。離れたところからは「雄山神社 駐車場」と見えますが、実際の駐車場までの案内看板が心許ないので、少し戸惑うかもしれません。今回は参拝客も少なく、とても静かで澄んだ空気感でした。年末年始は、露店も出るほど賑やかで参拝客も多いです。富山地方鉄道の電車が通過するのもゆっくり眺められますよ。

旧國弊小社。雄山神社は三社で構成され、こちらは前立社壇(まえたてしゃだん)です。駐車場は二箇所で、神社の北西の鳥居を潜って左に折り返した所がおすすめです。お手洗いはどちら側にも完備されていますが、夜間や早朝は施錠されるそうなので注意して下さい。 写真は6月1日のものです。混雑こそしませんが、参拝客は少なくもありません。参道は木々の緑が美しいです。 御朱印を拝受する方は先に社務所で御朱印帳をお渡しして、お参りの後に受け取る流れを取って下さい(神社側もこれを推奨しています)。

雄山神社。 山麓岩峅寺に鎮座していることから、 岩峅雄山神社と、入口に書かれていました。 御本殿は五間社流れ造りで室町中期の様式を示し北陸最大で、国指定の重要文化財になっています。 霊峰立山を神の山として奉斎する雄山神社は 立山頂上峰本社・芦峅中宮祈願殿・岩峅前立社壇の三社殿から成り立っているので、御朱印のために全部巡りたいところですが、立山頂上峰本社だけは、7月頃~9月頃の期間しか登れない山登りなので、行く際は山登りの準備と行くまでの交通費に注意が必要です。
