今回は頂上展望台へ行く為に訪れました。公園内は思った以上に広く、紅葉も美しかったです。 公園内はもちろん、桂川や嵐山方面の山々も大変美しかったです。 私は渡月橋から桂川沿いを歩き、福田美術館を越え保津川下り着船場横のお手洗い横の階段から上がったのですが、公園内は坂道や階段が多く、中にはきつめな階段もありました。私は頂上展望台に向かっていたのですが、頂上展望台まであと160mの看板を越えてからの階段がかなり辛かったです。 辛かった分、頂上展望台からの眺めは最高でした。 頂上展望台に行く場合は大河内山荘近くの竹林の小径から向かう事をオススメします。 無料の公園ですが、思った以上に広く紅葉も美しいので、次回はもっと時間を取って訪れたいと思いました。 写真は私が桂川沿いの階段から頂上展望台へ歩いた通りにあげたした。

紅葉の時期は大堰川のエメラルドグリーンに紅葉の赤やオレンジと樹々の緑のグラデーションが素晴らしく展望台からは渓谷を眺めることができます。桜の時期も素敵ですが一年を通して景観が楽しめます。

ここの川沿いの道を朝早く散歩するとめちゃくちゃ気持ちよかったです。。。 竹の小径に抜けて天龍寺などの方へ山を下るルートがおススメです!^^
