Jakko-in is a Tendai sect nunnery founded in 594 by Prince Shotoku to mourn the passing of his father, Emperor Yomei. The grounds feature gardens such as the Tei Pond and the Shihou-Masume Pond, allowing visitors to enjoy a peaceful moment surrounded by abundant nature.

Collect Joyful Goshuin at Jyakkoin Temple
At Jyakkoin Temple, you can receive a goshuin at the reception desk. The fee for a goshuin is 300 yen, and it's common to leave your goshuincho (goshuin notebook) at the reception desk before visiting and receive it back when you leave. The visiting hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from March 1st to November 30th. However, the hours may vary depending on the season, so it's recommended to check in advance before traveling.
