大阪出発の時は晴れていたんですが、到着したら雨が本降り。そのおかげか新年のお昼すぎでも持たずに駐車場に停めることができました。 広大な敷地で、晴れていればゆっくりと回りたかったのですがお詣りと御朱印いただいたのみで離れました。御朱印は御一人で担っておられて雨の中かなり待つことになりました。 となりにはケーブル乗り場もあって、雨でも天の橋立の観光客が多く賑わっておりました。 またあらためてゆっくりお詣りに来たい神社です。

敦賀から舞鶴経由で阪神方面へ向かう途中、折角なので籠神社と天橋立に立ち寄ることとしたが、到着が16時過ぎとなった。籠神社の駐車場に置いて、傘松公園までケーブルカーで登ることができる。 敷地は広くないが、元伊勢という名の通り、豊受大神と天照大神が祀られており、伊勢神宮に通じる厳かな社殿でお参りすることができた。社のデザインも美しく、写真を撮りたかったが撮影禁止なので、まなこに焼き付けた。なお、籠神社から500mくらい山手に行くと奥宮の真名井神社があり、もっと神々しい。籠神社の横を抜けるとケーブルカーの乗り場に辿り着く。傘松公園からの天橋立を見るだけでない、見所のある神社だ。
