History

The History of Yuhigaura Onsen
Yuhigaura Onsen was excavated in collaboration with the local community in the Hamazume district in 1980, when there was no hot spring in the area. Its name comes from the spectacular sunset view from the sand dune where the hot spring was excavated. The first hot spring provided relaxation and a place of rest for many guests at inns in the Hamazume district for about 24 years, but due to aging, a second source was excavated in 2006 to seek better water quality. Please enjoy the sunset that inspired the name of Yuhigaura Onsen.
