The Kominato Onsen area is a place where the legend of the birth of Nichiren Shonin remains. Near this hot spring area is the Birth Temple, said to be the birthplace of Nichiren Shonin. The spacious grounds are full of attractions, not only the main hall, but also the Niomon Gate and the Tanjo Hall. Many visitors seeking blessings come from both inside and outside the prefecture. As there is also a Ta no Ura sightseeing boat pier right next to the temple, it is recommended to visit both places.

Convenient Location just 8 Minutes on Foot from the Station

Kominato Onsen is a hot spring located in a convenient location just an 8-minute walk from Awa-Kominato Station in Chiba Prefecture. It's attractive that you can get there in less than 2 hours from Tokyo Station by transferring to a local train. If you're driving, it takes about 120 minutes from the Kisarazu-Minami Interchange. Be sure to park your car in the parking lot of your accommodation. Please come and visit this hot spring resort with a stunning view of the sea that doesn't feel like it's right near the city.

8階、リニューアルしたお部屋に泊まりました。眺め最高。夕日も部屋からゆっくり見れました。お部屋で残念だったのは、部屋風呂のシャワーを使用したのですが、シャワーヘッドがとても小さく、シャワーの穴が、よくあるシャワーの四分の一くらいしかないので、水流があまりに少なくて… 流せてるのかが分からないくらいでした。あんなシャワー見たことないです。温度調節も全く安定しないためぬる過ぎるか、熱すぎるか、しか出来ませんでした。宿の方は皆さん感じがよく丁寧でした。お風呂も肌がスベスベになりびっくりしました。お湯はカルキ臭さもあまり感じなかったです。ご飯も美味しかったです。

誕生日旅行！場所もホテルで用意して頂いたケーキもサプライズ！奮発してジャクジー付！チェックイン手続きの際に「例のものは、どうしましょうか？」と「例のものは、後で、部屋に持ってきてください。」と私。サプライズケーキのやり取りが麻薬取引のような会話後で大笑い。フロントスタッフの方ありがとうございました。大喜びでした。部屋からの夕焼けが素晴らしい。屋上露天風呂も良き。夕食はホテルではなく、いつも地元居酒屋なのですが、次回はホテルで食べてみたい。

建物自体は古いですが、全体的に清掃やメンテナンスが行き届いていて清潔感があります。部屋には加湿空気清浄機が備え付けられていましたが、そういった設備なども綺麗でした。予約確認のお電話を頂いたときから対応がとても丁寧で、宿泊当日も同様でした。夕食はスタンダードなプランでしたが品数が多く、更に、ごはん、お味噌汁、お蕎麦、おうどんなどがおかわり自由ですので、かなりのボリュームでコスパが良いです。当日のお昼は少なめにしたほうがいいと思います。オーシャンビューの部屋でしたが、海がかなり近く迫力がありました。電車ですと最寄り駅からは距離がありますが、送迎サービスがあるようです。また利用させていただきたいと思います。
