Before the factory tour, first let us guide you to the "Theater Room"! A 15-minute video is shown on a giant screen, explaining the history of Glico's founding and the process of making ice cream. You can experience the brilliance of founder Riichi Ezaki's inspiration and action, and by learning about the well-known corporation "Glico" in advance, you can enjoy the factory tour even more deeply!
Point 2

Next up is the highly anticipated factory tour! The 70-minute course takes you through the cutting-edge technology used in the production process of ice cream. Along the way, you'll experience a variety of sensory tricks, such as taking an air shower (strong wind) in a clean room, catching the sweet scent of Papico ice cream mixed with smoke, and feeling the -20℃ world inside a giant freezer. There are plenty of surprises that engage all five senses! At the stage where ice cream is injected into Papico containers, you can even use a zoom camera to observe the process up close. This tour is perfect for social studies field trips for all generations, from children to adults.
Point 3

Free Papico Tasting Time!

Amazingly, the factory tour has no entrance fee! You can tour the entire factory for free, which is surprising. Furthermore, at the end of the factory tour, there is a tasting time where you can get one free Papico per person! You can choose from three flavors, including the classic "choco coffee," and the other two flavors change depending on the season, such as "white sour" or "grape." The ice cream you get after touring the manufacturing process is sure to be twice as delicious!
Point 4

Experience Making Ice Cream at "Glico Kitchen"

After the factory tour, you can participate in a paid option to "make your own ice cream." Advance reservations are required, but if you're interested, you can apply on the day of your visit to Glico Pia at the reception desk for the factory tour. Mix the ingredients and decorate it as you like ♩ After making your own original ice cream, you can of course enjoy eating it! If you learn how to make it, you can easily imitate it at home, so why not try it with your children?
Point 5

Find Souvenirs at the Glico Shop!

On the first floor lobby of the facility, there is a "Glico Shop" that sells souvenirs and goods. In addition to Glico's familiar ice cream, there are many unique products such as rare ice cream and sweets that are hard to come by, as well as miscellaneous goods such as Glico logo T-shirts. You can enjoy looking at them even if you're not searching for souvenirs! There is also a Seventeen Ice vending machine installed, so you can buy and enjoy it on the spot before or after your tour!
Point 6

Take Commemorative Photos at Unique Photo Spots!

On the first floor, there are many unique photo spots where you can take interesting and distinctive photos throughout the lobby. You can become a Pocky by getting inside a giant Pocky box, take photos with trick art walls, or ride on a Papico ice cream vehicle. Even if you have to wait for the factory tour to start, you won't get bored waiting while taking commemorative photos!

Enjoyable in 2-3 Hours!
The factory tour at Glico Pia takes about 70 minutes, and if you participate in the ice cream making experience, it will take an additional 45 minutes or so. Including reception, waiting time, and souvenir shopping, it should take about 2.5 to 3 hours to fully enjoy the experience. As it is an ice cream factory, the temperature inside the facility during the tour and ice cream making is set low. Even in the summer, it may be a little chilly, so it's reassuring to bring a jacket considering the required time.
