Get Up Close and Personal with Elephants Splashing Around

Animal Wonder Resort is divided into two areas: "Ichihara Elephant Country" and "Sayuri World." As soon as you enter the "Ichihara Elephant Country" area, you'll find the elephant bathing area called "Elephant Splash," where you can see elephants enjoying themselves as they splash around in the water up close. You can watch them shoot water out of their trunks or roll around in the pond, and these powerful yet adorable elephants never get boring to watch!

Amazing Elephant Performance Show!

In the "Ichihara Elephant Kingdom" area, there is a square called "Elephant Square" where you can see daily performances by elephants! In addition to various performances such as elephant musical instrument playing, soccer, drawing, and hula hoops, there are also interactive programs where you can ride on the elephants or take commemorative photos hanging from their trunks, and even feed them during the "snack time" at the end of the show. Even if you can't participate in the performance, you can get up close and personal with the elephants and interact with them.

At Animal Wonder Resort, there are food courts and restaurants where you can taste authentic Thai cuisine, as well as souvenir shops selling Thai goods, allowing you to experience the feeling of actually being in Thailand. When it reopened in March 2021, it received support from the "Tourism Authority of Thailand," the official tourism agency of Thailand, to convey the charm of Thailand. The elephant handlers riding on the elephants are Thai people who trained in Thailand, and there is also a museum in the park where you can learn about Thai food, culture, and more. It's great to be able to experience the feeling of traveling abroad even while in Japan!

Relax at the "Giraffe Terrace" with a Giraffe's-Eye View

In the "Sayuri World" area, there is a "Giraffe Terrace" where you can enjoy light snacks and drinks while viewing giraffes up close. This is the most popular spot in Sayuri World, and the terrace is located at a height similar to a giraffe's head, making you feel like you're taking a break with the giraffes! The menu consists mostly of light items such as meat-wrapped hot dogs and oden, making it perfect for a light lunch. If you purchase food, you can also feed the giraffes. Even small children who find it difficult to sit still are sure to be delighted!

Get Up Close and Personal with 70 Different Animals

In addition to elephants and giraffes, many other animals live here. In the "Ichihara Elephant Kingdom" area, you can meet 70 different species such as hippos and capybaras, and in the "Sayuri World" area, you can meet 30 different species such as kangaroos and camels, for a total of 400 animals! Especially in "Sayuri World," many animals are allowed to roam freely with the theme of "coexistence between animals" and "coexistence between humans and animals," and you'll be amazed at how close you can get to them. You may even have a capybara rubbing against your feet with sand and mud as you walk! So be sure to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.

In a corner mainly on the Sayuri World side, there is a glamping facility called "The Bamboo Forest" and a pension facility, where you can have a special accommodation experience while enjoying an extraordinary stay. You can choose from three types of glamping rooms: dome tents, lotus bell tents, and tree houses, all of which have a stylish and cute atmosphere that will surely raise your excitement! The pension is only available to annual pass holders and it's said that you can even see giraffes from your room. Both facilities are well-equipped with amenities, services, and facilities, so you can have a comfortable stay regardless of the season or weather!

Meet the Model Elephant from "A Boy Who Became a Star"!

Are you familiar with the story "A Boy Who Became a Star"? It's a heartwarming tale about the emotional connection between a boy, an elephant, and their family, which was made into a movie in 2005. The model for the elephant in the movie, "Randy," actually lives here at Ichihara Elephant Kingdom and you can meet him in person! What's more, the author of the movie is the director of the park, Sayuri Sakamoto! Randy is a friendly and sociable elephant who loves interacting with people, and he has a heart-shaped charm point next to his left eye. Meeting the real Randy is an unforgettable experience, so we highly recommend watching the movie and then coming to see him in person!

Get a Discounted Admission Ticket for Two Facilities

The admission fees for Ichihara Elephant Kingdom are 2,200 yen for adults, 900 yen for children, and 1,800 yen for seniors, while Sayuri World charges 1,300 yen for adults, 700 yen for children, and 1,300 yen for seniors. Each park offers a free shuttle bus, so if you plan to visit both, you can get a discounted admission ticket for two facilities! Additionally, if you plan to use activities within the park, such as the elephant ride for 4,000 yen or the elephant lift for 2,500 yen, there will be additional fees. These activities are very popular, so during peak season, tickets often sell out in the morning. It's recommended to make a reservation online in advance to ensure availability.

The Animal Wonder Resort consists of two areas, "Ichihara Elephant Kingdom" and "Sayuri World," where over 70 different species and a total of over 400 animals live happily. In addition to the 10 elephants, the largest number of any zoo in Japan, there are animals that can only be seen in the "Ichihara Elephant Kingdom," such as hippos and red pandas, as well as animals that can only be seen in "Sayuri World," such as giraffes. There are also animals that live in both areas, such as capybaras and kangaroos. The performances and interactive experiences are also fulfilling, making this zoo a rare opportunity to feel close to animals.

思っていたより園内結構広く色々な動物達が居ました。エサ入りのカゴを購入して動物たちにエサをあげられます。エサは小さいカゴで500円からあります。園内の動物たちに買ったエサはあげることができるようです。とてもゾウたちのパフォーマンスもよくエサもゾウたちにあげることができたのでとても満足しています。カフェやタイ料理も美味しかったです。また近いうちにゾウたち会いに行きたいです。

子供がゾウを見たいと言うことで、都心からアクセスの良い市原ゾウの国へ。入園チケットはゾウの国でも購入できますが、アクアラインを通る場合は、海ほたるPAでも購入が可能。 4階にある『ウミナカプラザ』内の有人レジで手に入ります。なお、通常価格よりも100円引き（大人分）となるので、休憩がてらに立ち寄ってみてはいかがでしょうか。ゾウに乗れるライドやリフトチケットなどは当日でも入口もしくは『パオパオ（パフォーマンスショーのすぐ脇）』で購入が可能です。我が家は、ゾウのパフォーマンスショーを見終わった後でも、最後のライドチケットを手に入れることができました。「やっぱり体験してみたい！」と思った方は、パオパオで聞いてみると良いでしょう。今回の目的であるゾウによるパフォーマンスショーですが、自由席なので始まる5分前には席がだいぶ埋まってしまう印象。入口から1番近い方の前席を確保したところ、ゾウのお絵描きの様子などはとても良く見えました。口コミには賛否両論の意見がありますが、ショーの最中に2,000円をゾウさんに渡すと代わりにオリジナルのゾウのぬいぐるみをくれる体験や、ショーの後に餌やりなどもできて、子供たちは大満足。私はゾウが綺麗に絵が描けることに関心してしまいました。話は変わりますが、昼食は入園口の前にあるタイ料理屋へ。 12時30過ぎに行きましたが、満席になる様子はありません。子供が食べるのに辛さを心配していましたが、お子様カレーは甘い味付けとなっていたので安心しました。今度はサユリワールドにも足を伸ばしてみたいと思えるほど充実した1日でした。 ※強いて言えば、結構お金が掛かるので予算は多く持っていた方が良いでしょう。

千葉県市原市にある動物園 JR内房線・五井駅経由で小湊鐵道の高滝駅から予約制の送迎バスあり車の場合も館山自動車道で楽々アクセス入園すとイキナリ大きな象が水浴びをしながらお出迎えです。園内には象以外の動物たちも多数いて、どの動物もほぼふれあい可能です。 500円で購入できる動物のおやつはニンジンやキャベツなどのカットされた野菜がタップリと入ったバケツを持って園内散策気に入った子達に与えながら散策出来ます象たちのパフォーマンスが始まる前にはたくさんの象が会場に向けて大行進フードコートで寛いでいると僅か２ｍ先を大行進！圧巻の大迫力ですあの巨体でサッカーやお絵描きなど繊細で可愛いパフォーマンスも絶対にお見逃しなく
