Selected as one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, this ropeway spans about 2400m with steel cables and can take you up to the 1320m high Tenjindaira on a barrier-free ride. In the autumn, you can enjoy a sky walk while admiring the beautiful autumn foliage, and if you're lucky, you might even see a sea of clouds!

谷川岳のロープウェイの名前が変わるみたいです。 紅葉を見に行きましたが、少し早かったみたいで、色付き始めな感じでした。 関越道の水上ICからほぼ1本道で、ロープウェイ乗り場まで行けますので、迷う事はないと思います。 ロープウェイの駐車場待ちの関係で、途中から渋滞します。この日は駐車場に到着するまで、1時間弱かかりました。 駐車したらロープウェイのチケットを買うのに30分位並んで購入しました。 ロープウェイとその先の頂上まで行けるリフトが付いたチケットがお勧めです。 チケット購入までは混んでましたが、ロープウェイにはすぐに乗れました。 ロープウェイからは少し紅葉し始めな景色が見れて綺麗でした。 ロープウェイ駅に着いたら、リフトに乗り換えて山頂を目指します。 風避け等付いてないリフトで、日陰だと少し寒かったです。 リフトを降りたら山頂で、近くに神社もありますし、遠くの山の景色が見渡せるので気持ち良かったです。 山頂にはカフェしかお店がないので、一通り景色を堪能したら、リフトでロープウェイ駅まで戻ります。 ロープウェイ駅にはレストランがあって、ラーメン、カレー等が食べられます。 ただラストオーダーが16:00位?で早いので、注意が必要です。 また、夕方は山陰になるので、早い時間から冷え込み始めるのと、帰りのロープウェイが渋滞するので、注意が必要です。 帰りは寒かったですが、景色が綺麗で充電出来ました。

1月中旬に訪問。スキーやボードを持った人が多く、思った以上に賑わっていました。ロープウェイは数分おきに来ており、私が来たときは待ち時間は5分ほど。乗車中は15分ほどで、山々の景色が美しくとても楽しめました。ただ窓が少し汚れていたのが残念。でも多くの人が利用するので仕方ないですね。それとここに来るバスの本数が少ないため、事前に帰りのバスの時間を確認しておくことをおすすめします。
