At Michi-no-Eki Oku-Kuji Daigo, you can purchase souvenirs and local specialties such as Oku-Kuji tea, which is popular for its deep flavor and aroma, oyaki (steamed buns with various fillings), apple soft serve ice cream, and local beer. In the restaurant, you can enjoy dishes made with Oku-Kuji shamo (a type of chicken) and fresh yuba (tofu skin) ramen. Although it's a rest stop, there is also a hot spring facility where you can take a break and soak in the hot springs. Enjoy Ayu Fishing on a Suspension Bridge over the Kuzekawa River!

This vermilion suspension bridge spans the Kuzekawa River, located north of Ogo Onsen. From the bridge, you can enjoy views of the Kuzekawa River, cherry blossom viewing, and autumn foliage. Once you cross the bridge, a promenade is maintained, and after about 200 meters, you can see a small waterfall called Yumso Taki and a Jizo statue named Gokaku-san. At the nearby Yabusai Station, salt-grilled ayu and yuzu miso dumplings caught in the Kuzekawa River are sold and highly recommended to purchase when visiting as they are very delicious!

This hot spring is famous for its "Bijin no Yu" (hot springs that make you beautiful) where you can fully enjoy the great outdoors. The spring quality is sodium sulfate and chloride, which is said to be effective for coldness, neuralgia, fatigue recovery, and beautiful skin. There are many inns and hotels that are full of travel emotions, where you can stay and enjoy the "Bijin no Yu," local food, and beautiful scenery. You can also relax in a ryokan that offers an apple bath where you can soak in a bath with apples floating in it, or in a day trip hot spring. The surrounding area also has beautiful autumn leaves at Eikyuanji and a Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) called Oku-Kuji Daigo, making it perfect for sightseeing and souvenir shopping!

古い宿だと思いますが、中はとても綺麗です。掃除も行き届いてます。庭は、グラウンドゴルフも出来るようで、とても広々見え気持ちいいです。スタッフの方の対応は、皆さん気さくでいいのですが、言い方のキツい方がいらっしゃって少しビックリしました。しかし支配人さんのお客様対応は素晴らしいです。館内ですが、エレベーターに椅子が置いてありました。高齢の母がいたので、とても助かりました。部屋には、ポットにお湯がもう準備してあり、冷水、コップもお茶も多めに用意してあり、お菓子も２種類。文句なしです。アメニティも充実してます。和洋室の部屋は、とても広く綺麗で、ゆっくりと過ごす事が出来ました。ただ網戸が穴が空いてる箇所があったので、窓を開けたかったけど開けれませんでした。虫が多かったのでベープ等が、あったら嬉しかったです。お食事は夜も朝もボリュームたっぷり、食べきれないくらい。そして、お米が美味しかったです。朝のフリードリンクの種類が多くて迷ってしまうくらいです。お風呂は、青いリンゴがたくさん浮いてました。香りはしませんでしたが、広々として気持ちの良いお風呂でした。また是非利用したい宿です。大変お世話になりました。

奥久慈の道の駅からは車で結構離れた場所にあるホテル建物は結構古かったものの部屋はリノベーションされてて綺麗でした晩御飯が結構ボリュームがあって特に鮎の姿焼きが丸ごと食べられるのに臭みも無くて美味しかった大浴場が工事中ではいれなかったので今度は大浴場が開いてる時に行ってみたいと思います

家族の仕事に同行し、泊まりました。常陸大宮市に近い湯の澤鉱泉というお宿と迷い、今回は大人数のためこちらに決めました！和室の二間続き、トイレバスあり ※和室はふすまがあり、天井は空いているので完全密室にはならないものの寝るときにふすまを閉めてお部屋を分けて使えました。大子町は常陸大宮市から少し離れていますが、より自然豊かで温泉もあり、スーパーやコンビニ、しまむらも宿の近くにあり大変便利です！食事は常陸牛会席のプランにしましたが、期待していなかっただけに、めちゃくちゃ良かったです。味付け、品数、サービス、雰囲気、満足できました。 3歳の子供にもお米と取り分け皿を持ってきてもらい、子供椅子もありますので子連れに嬉しい。露天風呂と無料のサウナがないのが残念ですが、大浴場は広くて温泉なので良し！スタッフの方は皆さん優しくて感じが良いです。コスパが良いのでまた行きたい。
