以前、GoogleのテレビCMでバンジージャンプをする様子が印象的だった龍神大吊橋に、袋田の滝に訪れた後に次男とともに足を運びました。山頂の駐車場も無料なんですが、多くの車が停められる訳ではないので、駐車場に入るまで10分程度待ちました。絶景！ということに間違いないものの、高いところが苦手な私にとっては、この375mの橋は絶叫スポットに近いくらいの場所でした。でも、橋自体はとてもしっかりしていますので車イスの方も渡っていました。橋の上からは、八溝・阿武隈山系の山並みや、水府の街並み、竜神ダムの湖面を見渡すことができます。ダムの湖面から橋までの高さは100m。この高低差を利用したバンジージャンプはさぞかしスリリングなんだろうなぁ。私がやることは絶対にないですけど、スリルを求める方にはとびっきりのアトラクションになるのではないでしょうか。

12月に入りましたが、まだ紅葉も盛りで🍁、空気も澄んでてとても気持ちが良かったです！バンジーを飛んでるのも見れて、ワクワクしました！バイクで行きましたが、バイクは駐輪場がしっかりあるため、車の渋滞に並ばず済み、とても良かったです！

奥久慈県立自然公園内にある観光のために作られた大吊橋です。通行料は320円　かなり手前になりますが無料の駐車場や橋の手前にお土産屋、食堂があります。歩行者専用の橋では日本最大級の長さ446m/375m 吊り橋はダム渓谷にかかっていて湖面から100mとかなり高く、ところどころガラス貼りのところがあり下を眺められるようになっています。橋の中央部分からできるバンジージャンプはかなりの迫力だと思います。橋の両橋には橋の名前を象徴する大きな龍の絵が描かれています。竜神峡　紅葉まつりの時に訪ねましたが、紅葉の色合いは今ひとつ、早かったかと思いお店の方に聞いたところ夏の気温などにもより紅葉がどこまで進むか年によって違うそうです。
