The Tenshin Memorial Gora Museum is a place where you can enjoy the works of artists associated with Gora while overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The museum mainly exhibits Japanese paintings, including works by Tenshin Okakura, Taikan Yokoyama, Shunsou Hishida, Takezan Kimura, and Kanzan Shimomura. The works of these masters are impressive, and you can learn about Tenshin Okakura's achievements in the Japanese painting world. The museum has a spacious area with a view of the Pacific Ocean, a calm atmosphere, and a place to relax, making it a great place to appreciate the works in peace.

Mochikomekan Site, Where Cherry Blossoms Bloom in Spring!

Mochikomekan Site is a park where the entire mountain is maintained and cherry blossoms bloom. It's important to note that it's inconvenient to get there by bus or train as you have to enter a side road and go into the mountains. The site of the former checkpoint is now a park where you can see a statue of Minamoto no Yoshie and a monument to a poet, and feel a part of history. In spring, the entire mountain is covered with cherry blossoms in delicate and gentle colors, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Fishing Experience in the Vicinity of Otsu Fishing Port!

At the Fishing History Museum "Yo-Soro," you can actually experience fishing in the vicinity of Otsu Fishing Port. For 35,000 yen per boat, you can go out to sea on weekdays from 1 p.m. and on Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. Fishing time is about one hour, with various fish, mainly shirasu, being caught, and the caught fish can be taken home. In addition to the fishing experience, Yo-Soro has a product hall and a market cafeteria, so we recommend trying processed seafood products and fresh fish dishes caught in the vicinity of Otsu Fishing Port!

The Tenjin Memorial Fiveura Art Museum, where you can see works by Fiveura artists, and the Wakimae Seki Site, where about 1,200 cherry blossoms bloom in the spring, are recommended tourist spots in the area. 近しい親族の新年会で1泊2日で来ました。建物自体は年季が入ってはいますが、部屋からのオーシャンビューは贅沢な景観でした。お風呂は露天風呂が良く、泉質も好みで熱さも私好みでした。夜の食事は10人での利用だったのか、宿泊部屋の近くの小宴会場を専用として用意してもらっていたのも良かったです。朝食時もですが、和の椅子とテーブルスタイルの食卓だったのも老若男女にも優しくて良いと思います。チェックイン時は日没後で駐車場の誘導をしてくれたり、チェックアウト時は雨だった際は傘を差して濡れないようにしてくれたりとホテルのスタッフさんの対応も良かったです。また、来たいと思います。

2025年1月15日水曜日から1泊でパートナーと利用させて頂きました。レトロなホテルでした。客室のつくりも昔ながらのレトロな感じです。温泉は湯温も高くもなく低くもなくちょうどいい頃合いで私にはぴったりでした。ナトリウム泉質の心持ちトロッとしたお湯でとても温まります。到着した日が結構寒くて露天に出る勇気はなく眺めてました。露天の湯船も2箇所ほどあります。内湯のシャワーも数はあり大人数でも足りなくならない感じでした。館内が広いので移動で歩くのが長く、ちょっと寒かったですが、まあいいホテルでしょう。お目当てのあんこう鍋はパートナーの初あんこう鍋です。お料理もあんこう尽くしでお願いしました。あんこう鍋、あん肝、あんこうの共酢など彼女のためのあんこう尽くしでした。写真の通りあんこう鍋は一人用の鍋で提供されましたが、あんこうの身がたくさん入っていて大満足です。お刺身にあんこうの昆布じめが付いてて、これは私も初めてのあんこうのお刺身でした。ほっき貝、サワラ、あんこうの昆布じめ、マグロ、活エビ、タイでしたが、マグロがとても美味しかったです。もちろん新鮮なあんこうですから、あん肝も共酢もとても美味しかったです。彼女もとても喜んでくれてよかったです。今回は彼女の初あんこう鍋だったので、地元料理のどぶ汁ではなく味噌仕立てのオーソドックスなあんこう鍋にしました。次回はどぶ汁にしようと思います。ごちそうさまでした。

太平洋を望む高台に立つ絶好の立地です。展望露天風呂に海を眺めながら浸かるのは最高でした。朝夕食とも種類が豊富で量が多すぎずちょうど良かったです。スタッフさんも笑顔での接客でのんびり過ごせました。屋上から日の出を眺めるのも一興です。
