The Ninjochi Spring, located on both sides of the first torii gate, is water that springs from the bottom of two small torii gates and is counted among Japan's three sacred waters. There are two types of springs, one for men and one for women, which flow from bottles called "otokobin" and "onnanobin," respectively. The bottles can only be seen when the water is clear, and it is rumored that those who see them will be blessed with good luck.
