偕楽園に行く前にまずお参りしておきたい神社。水戸徳川家の光圀公・斉昭公をお祀りしています。 明治時代建立の神社なので、社殿などは比較的新しい感じです。 ちょうど梅まつりの時期で、境内は出店などもあって賑わっていました。 なお徳川家にかかわる宝物を展示する義烈館もあるのですが、こちらは梅の季節の土日祝日のみ開館ということで、ちょっと残念でした。

【茨城県水戸市‐偕楽園横の常盤神社】 昨年10月~12月半ばにかけての北関東周遊。紅葉が平年よりも遅れてたのもあり、各地で紅葉を楽しむ事が出来ました。紅葉が終わりかけの栃木県から栃木より温暖な茨城県に移動。日立市、ひたち中市に宿泊後、水戸市に3泊しました。 人生2回目の水戸市訪問でしたが、ちょうど紅葉が真っ盛りの状態で運が良かったです。 岡山の後楽園、金沢の兼六園と共に日本三名園に数えられる水戸の偕楽園を訪問する前に参拝した常盤神社。 水戸とといえば御三家の水戸藩、黄門様-水戸光圀公が有名ですが、常盤神社の御祭神は徳川光圀と徳川斉昭。 創建は明治6年で社格は別格官幣者、別表神社です。 日本各地を周って様々な神社に参拝してきましたが 江戸時代の幕藩体制の藩主(藩祖)を御祭神とする神社が国内に 結構な数あります。 参拝時は紅葉真っ盛りで非常に綺麗な紅葉を見る事が出来ました。 ※NikonのフラッグシップミラーレスカメラZ9で撮影 使用レンズはF2.8 24‐70㎜の広角ズームレンズ
