Mt. Tsukuba has two peaks, Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyotai, and is a beautiful mountain that is compared to Mt. Fuji as "Fuji of the West, Tsukuba of the East". It is famous for being the lowest mountain among the Hyakumeizan (100 famous mountains), and its charm lies in the fact that anyone, young or old, male or female, can climb it with light equipment. There is a cable car and a ropeway, so even those who just want to enjoy the view can go to the top and enjoy the scenery!

Mt. Tsukuba has two peaks: Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyotai, both of which are open for mountain climbing. It is recommended to check the official website to find a course that suits your level and preferences. Generally, there are few dangerous spots, and even children can climb the mountain easily. However, it's important to prepare rain gear, gloves or work gloves, a flashlight, and other necessary items before attempting the climb. Within walking distance from the summit station, there are "Tsutsuji-ga-oka Rest House" and "Cafe Cielo Blue". In addition, there are shops selling souvenirs and food and drink at the cable car Miyawaki Station and Mt. Tsukuba Summit Station. Mt. Tsukuba is also a popular spot for many hikers, so we recommend using it for meals and breaks!

The Tsukuba Purple Line is a drive that combines two types of Tsukuba Skyline: the Omote-Tsukuba Skyline from Asahi Pass to Kazahiki Pass and the Tsukuba Skyline from Kazahiki Pass to Tsutsuji-ga-oka Parking Lot. You can drive while enjoying the view of Mt. Tsukuba, and during the seasons of autumn leaves and fresh greenery, the scenery is particularly beautiful from the car window, making for a pleasant drive. However, please note that it may be closed during the winter season due to snowfall, so we recommend checking in advance!

The Komakusa Observatory on Mount Tsukuba is an observatory located near the summit of Mount Tsukuba. It is located near the summit station at an altitude of 877 meters. From the observatory, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the mountains that run east and west of Mount Tsukuba, the city of Tsukuba, and the Joban Expressway. On particularly clear days, it is said that you can even see Mount Fuji and the Tokyo Skytree. The first floor is a shop, the second floor is an observation restaurant, and the third floor is the observatory where you can purchase souvenirs and enjoy a meal.

少し霞んではいましたが山頂からの景色は素晴らしかったです。ケーブルカーやロープウェーの運転時間前に山頂に立てたので人も少なくゆっくり景色を眺められました。

令和7年4月下旬に登山 最高の天気 初心者向けの山と紹介されていて、確かに登りやすく、景色も素晴らしくよかった。

梅祭り最終日に行きました🌸 満開とありましたが、まだ7分咲だったかな? でも、勾配があって、ハイキングのような感覚で梅を見渡せるのは最高でした✨ 車でちょっと行けば着く場所に住んでるので、色んなタイミングやイベントに合わせて足繁く通ってみたいと思います😊
