町の皆さんが大切に管理保存されている様子が分かる、貴重な文化施設です。 急な階段を上がる2階には、かつて養蚕が行われていた様子や民具、農具がきれいに並べられています。

知らなかった地域の歴史。 参勤交代の時に休む場所だったとのこと。 静かで確かに穴場かもしれません。建物はりっぱなものです。急な階段を登ると(頭上注意)2階に行くことが出来、屋根裏部屋のようになっており、ここでは以前は盛んだった養蚕の道具などが展示してあります。 ここらへんを走ると、まず田んぼがほとんどないのと、平地がないのがわかるので、お米文化ではない(実際饅頭やうどんがメジャー)となると、何か他の産業が必要です。ここではかつて養蚕がかつては盛んだったことを初めて知りました。また相模原市=神奈川というイメージを勝手に持ってましたが、そういうものでもないなと思いました。あまり長くは滞在出来ませんでしたが、勉強になりました。駐車場は近くの小原の郷をお使いください。歩いてすぐです。

神奈川県(相模国)で現存する貴重な唯一の本陣です。庭園や上段の間など隅々まで見学できます。また、本陣を運営していた清水家は後北条氏の家臣清水隼人介で、小原宿が設けられてからは代々庄屋と問屋を兼ねていました。中に入ると、旧建築によくある急な勾配の階段を登るとかつての農耕や養蚕に使う道具などが展示されています。茅葺き屋根の裏側も見れる貴重な場所でもあります。これで無料とは驚きですね、神奈川と小原のみなさん、ありがとうございます😊
