こじんまりとした写真美術館です。今回、1階はパリ各所のモノクロ写真が展示されてましたが素敵でした。2階は撮影場所によっていろいろな富士山の写真が展示されていました。興味深かったです。ポストカードも販売されていたので2枚買い求めました。登山電車の線路沿いで強羅駅から3分でした。

庭園(神仙郷)は紅葉の名所と有名ですが、浮世絵(初版が多いのだそうです)をはじめ世界各国から集められた収蔵物も大変興味深いものでした。

和風の庭園と東洋的な展示品 庭園の苔庭と小川のコントラストが何ともいえず癒されます。梅雨の時期は特に苔庭が青々として、まさに緑のジュータンです。建物は西洋風を取り入れた和風で、明治のころの邸宅のようなものになっています。どことなく懐かしい感じもします。館内の展示品では、縄文土器や埴輪など古代日本の遺産や、現代の色鮮やかな磁器など様々です。
