The park was established on the site of the Tokorozawa Airfield, Japan's first airport, and features two airplanes on display. In addition, there are plazas, libraries, and sports fields, making it a park where visitors can enjoy themselves all day long.

Just a Short Walk from Kōkūkōen Station!
You can access the Prefectural Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park by train or car. If you're taking the train, it's just a short walk from Kōkūkōen Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. If you're driving, take the Tokyo Outer Ring Road from the Metropolitan Expressway No. 5 Ikebukuro Line, get off at the Tokorozawa IC, and head north on National Route 463 to see the park entrance. The park also has a parking lot that can accommodate about 580 cars, and parking is free for up to two hours, making it convenient for those coming by car.

2025年1月中旬 航空公園の蝋梅を見に出かけてきました。広い公園の中央西側に小さな蝋梅園があります。まだ花は少なめで、蕾がたくさんありました。もうしばらくしたら満開の優しい黄色に包まれそうな感じです。 こちらの航空公園は、滑走路のように長い通路とその上に拡がる空の美しさが印象的です。子ども広場にむさしの川、池やドッグラン、航空発祥記念館等々…ひとつひとつのスポットがそれぞれに楽しめるよう上手く工夫されています。(飛行機好きなお子さまは勿論)四季を通してどなたにも楽しんでいただけそうな公園です。 ずっと以前、子供たちがまだ幼かった頃、私たちも家族や友人と…また時には愛犬も一緒に…何度も遊びに出かけていました。久しぶりの今回は、南駐車場を利用して蝋梅園のみ訪れました。向かう途中の景色には冬の寂しさも感じましたが、蝋梅園のふんわり優しい花たちにしっかり癒されて帰りました。 お花が好きな方々に是非お勧めしたいスポットです。

2025.1.24(金)初めて訪問しました。予想外のロウバイ園があり、ほぼ満開でした。英語名はWinter Sweetなんですねえ。名前の通り、素晴らしい香りでした。彩翔亭なる茶店でお抹茶和菓子セット(600円)を、素晴らしい日本庭園を眺めながら楽しむ事が出来ました。(茶店は2月末まで空調工事。営業してますが、入り口が記念館背にして反対側。案内表示が分かりにくい。太鼓橋?初めてでは判りません)記念館の方は実機が戦後の練習機やヘリで少し物足りないです。平日夕方で各種フライトシュミレーターを楽しむ事が出来ました。学校休みの日は長蛇の列でしょうね。記念館駐車場は、2時間まで無料。空きが出来るまで、駐車券発行機の前で5分ほど待ちました。

ワンちゃんのお散歩で来ました。 この辺だとこちらと小金井公園が快適ですね。 混み過ぎこともなく、たいてい平日はのんびり出来ます。 時々、来てますが今年の紅葉も今がピークですね。奥多摩や奥秩父、群馬山中をドライブしてますが、こちらの紅葉が勝ってますね。 勿論、タイミングもありますが今日は晴れていて気温も涼しくて、秋らしい気候でした。 あちこちに紅葉見ながら、運動や散歩、寝転んでいる人達がいました。それでも人口密度低いのが素敵♪
