The current cave brewery is located on the site of an underground factory built for tank production at the end of World War II. Shimazaki Brewery's cave brewery was once an underground factory built for the production of tanks during World War II. The site was later used by Shimazaki Brewery and the underground factory was repurposed as a place for brewing sake. The underground factory is an ideal brewery that utilizes natural rock formations, maintaining a constant temperature and humidity to produce excellent sake. Today, the underground factory is a rare cave brewery in Japan and has gained much popularity. On cave brewery open days, you can visit the inside of the cave brewery if you check the calendar on the official website!

島崎酒造 ご存知、東力士の酒蔵といて有名な栃木県那須烏山市の島崎酒造さんに寄ってきました。烏山と言ったら島崎酒造さん、というくらいに僕には馴染みがあります。僕は本日ドライバーのため、利き酒は妻が代わりに呑んでいました。お店の人がついてくれるのかと思ったら、自分で勝手についでどんどん呑んで、といった感じです。 これならドライバーを妻に譲るんだった!と思ったけれど、ここは男の優しさということです。帰りの車の中では早々に寝た妻の寝顔を横に、頑張って運転したのでした(2024年10月12日訪問 )

ホスピタリティ溢れる酒造店さんで、試飲する際もオオスメの飲み方などを丁寧にご説明くださった。 どうくつ酒蔵と共におすすめ。

角打ちの出来る酒屋さん。 どうくつ酒蔵として有名な島崎酒造さんの熟成酒の飲み比べが出来ます。 熟成する観点から純米ではなく吟醸になってしまうのかその辺は分からないですが、1本1本買っていると高く付くので飲み比べが出来るのはありがたい。 ゆず酒や梅酒など甘いお酒もあり、それをゼリー状に固めて造られたゆず酒ジュレはアイスクリームにかけて食べたりと女性ウケしそうな商品でした。
