2024の紅葉シーズンに行きました。 風が強くてゴンドラ運行見合わせで2.3時間待つことになりましたが、無事動いてよかったです! 山頂は風が強く大変でしたが、岩の山はカッコよくて好きなのでまた行きたいです!

2024/10/17に訪れました。 平日の木曜日、6時30分に峠の茶屋駐車場(無料)は既に満車で、すぐ下の無料駐車場へ(そこはまだ空いていました)。約150台弱の駐車場がその状況ですので、紅葉の時期は早いか、昼頃か、時間をずらして行くと駐車出来るのではないかと思います。 駐車出来ない場合は、下からバスでロープウェイ乗り場までの手段になります。 早朝はまだロープウェイが動いていないので、徒歩で牛ヶ首→下山のみロープウェイを利用しました。 紅葉、雲海、途中硫黄の匂いを感じながらの山歩きは最高ですね。とにかく様々な景色が手軽に楽しめます。他のルートもありますが、比較的手軽なルートです。天気が変わりやすいので、羽織れる上着は必須。風が吹くと肌寒く感じます。ガレ場もありますので靴底は厚目の靴がおすすめです。

茶臼岳へ。 登りは峠の茶屋登山口から、帰りはロープウェイで4時間弱。ゆっくりゆっくり登りました。 5/4だったのですが、雪が一部残っていました。 そんなに登るのにかからない山なのでお昼前に登り始めました。駐車場はちょうど朝から登ってる人が降りてきていて空きがありました。でもすごい渋滞!! 登り始めて階段を抜けると、見晴らしが良くて良い山でした。 ロープウェイの方はかなり急ですね。 山頂一周回れます。
