About a 10-minute drive from Daimaru Onsen is a strange rock formation known as "Sessho-seki". Sessho-seki is known as one of Japan's three great strange rocks, with its huge rocks sharply pointed, creating a mysterious atmosphere. The name "Sessho-seki" comes from the fact that the rock formation looks like a living creature. Because the rock surface is sharply pointed, you can see a magnificent view. In addition, at sunset, the sun sinking into Sessho-seki creates a beautiful sight. Access from Daimaru Onsen is also good, so be sure to stop by when sightseeing!

Trekking on Mount Nasu near Daimaru Onsen!

There are various routes available, from beginner-friendly routes to hiking courses for experienced climbers. From the summit of Mount Nasu, you can enjoy a panoramic view and breathtaking scenery. It takes about 8 minutes by car from "Daimaru Onsen" to Mount Nasu. The course from Daimaru Onsen to the summit of Mount Nasu is 8.3km long and takes about 4 hours to climb and 3 hours to descend. From the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nasu mountain range. After trekking, you can relax and enjoy hot springs and gourmet food at Daimaru Onsen to soothe your tired body.

Oomaru Onsen is a hot spring resort located at the foot of the Nasu Mountains. At Oomaru Onsen, you can enjoy hot springs that flow directly from the source. The water is gentle on the skin, with a weak alkaline pH, and is particularly popular for leaving the skin smooth and silky after bathing. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons. There are also inns with jacuzzis in the large bath, where you can relax and heal your tiredness. There are many tourist spots in the area where you can enjoy strolling through the hot spring town and the nature of the Nasu Highlands. Oomaru Onsen has day trip hot springs, but there are also plenty of accommodation plans available, so you can enjoy the hot springs at your leisure!

日帰り入浴で訪問。日帰り入浴は受付11：30～14：30、終了15：00。フロントで入浴券を買い、フェイスタオルと露天風呂用のタオルを受け取り、風呂場へ。脱衣所には、無料ロッカーがある。広くてキレイにしてある。風呂場は洗い場も多く、内風呂も広い。温度は少し熱めで４３℃くらいありそう。次に腰にタオルを巻き、露天風呂へ。露天風呂は混浴であるが、みんなタオルを巻いているので、女性でも気兼ねなく入れるだろう。プール感覚かな。自分が入った時も家族連れや夫婦が何組かいた。お湯は透明でまろやかで気持ち良く、温まる。鉄分を感じた。成分表ではメタケイ酸と硫酸イオンが豊富なようだ。露天風呂の床が石が敷いてあり、足つぼに効いてちょっと痛い笑。飲泉できるところもあり、まろやかで飲みやすい。施設内もキレイで日帰り温泉で1,000円するが、タオルセットもついているので、おススメできる温泉施設。

冬場はスタッドレスは必須です！結構山を登ります。秘湯だそうです、川が温泉になっていて湯浴み着を着て混浴で入れます。内湯は熱めなので外が気持ちいいです！食事も半個室で、ゆっくり食べることが出来ました。温泉を使ったしゃぶしゃぶなどどれも美味しかった。また行きたい宿です

那須湯元温泉から山路を進むと、やがて旅館に着きます。林道に進む道路を除くと、ほぼ行き止りになる地区であり、ロープウェイ乗り場も至近距離です。静かな環境にあり、何と言ってもお湯ですが、内湯もちろん川のほとりにある露天風呂は、野趣満点です。真冬のお湯が42℃としたら、野外気との温度差が50℃になります。夕朝２食付き＋那須和牛ステーキコースでしたが、とても食べ切れないと見た初見がはずれ、デザートまで完食。朝食も外国産赤魚の網焼きを除き、品数と量ともに満足しました。山奥の旅館なので部屋は狭いかと思ってましたが、木をふんだんに取り入れた和風の造りで、夫婦利用では充分なゆとり、ツインベッドも各々セミサイズ、リピート確定しました。
