新撰組ファンは絶対に訪れるべき場所。 土方歳三の義兄で日野宿名主の佐藤彦五郎の屋敷。土方が昼寝をした部屋等が残る。入館料は大人(高校生以上)200円で希望するとガイドの方が解説してくれる。200円で良いのかと思うほど凄い場所。

日野を代表する観光スポットです。 こんな荘厳に、美しく本陣が残存しているのは素晴らしいです!まさにここの名主を務めたのが佐藤彦五郎でした。土方歳三や井上源三郎らと親睦を深め、新選組が誕生しました。まるでタイムスリップしたような感覚になります。

歴史好きな方は是非どうぞ。新撰組の法被を着て写真も撮れる。館内の写真も撮り放題。入館料は1人200円で、ボランティアの方が丁寧に説明をしてくれ、館内を案内してくれる。
