It was selected as the location where stars shine the brightest for the National Starry Sky Continuation Observation program implemented by the Ministry of the Environment. Namioka Park in Asahi Village, Nagano Prefecture, is famous for being a place where you can see the best starry sky in Japan. There are telescopes and a planetarium, allowing you to observe the stars and study astronomy. In addition, four photo contests are held throughout the year, in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The Heavenly Paradise Japan's Best Starry Sky Tour is also popular, but requires reservations made in advance for specific dates and times. Online tickets are available for purchase from 10:00 am two weeks prior to the date of use. Asahi Village is recognized by the Ministry of the Environment as "the village with the most beautiful starry sky in Japan," and you can enjoy the beautiful night view, including the starry sky. There are also accommodations such as pensions and cottages in the surrounding area, allowing you to stay overnight while enjoying stargazing.

Here, from beginners to advanced photographers, you can enjoy starry sky photography in a rich natural environment. There is no explanation of constellations, but we offer plans for those who want to enjoy starry sky photography to the fullest, as well as photography lessons and camera rentals for first-timers. In addition, you can easily rent camera equipment suitable for starry sky photography (please prepare an SD card). It is recommended for those who want to capture the beauty of the starry sky and create wonderful memories.

Access

Access to Nagoa Park
Access to Nagoa Park, known as a place where you can enjoy the best starry sky in Japan, is as follows. For those coming from Osaka or Nagoya, take the Tomei Expressway to the Chuo Expressway via Komaki JCT, and use the Enbara IC. Note that only the Nagoya side entrance and exit (downstream entrance and upstream exit) can use the Half IC. For those coming from Tokyo, take the Metropolitan Expressway from Hatsudai IC, pass through the Takaido Chuo Expressway, and proceed to the Iidashimom IC. From there, it's about a 25-minute drive to Nagoa Park. When visiting, please check the latest information in advance and drive safely. Enjoy the wonderful starry sky to your heart's content.

Enjoy the Starry Sky! Attractive Plans at Nagoue Park
Nagoue Park is a park located in Noheji Village, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture, where you can safely enjoy stargazing and photography for long periods of time from a height of 1200 meters. Please note that in the paid stargazing area, parking and car camping are not allowed. In the night enjoyment plan, you can enjoy the stars with or without a guide. Advance reservations are also possible, but if there are vacancies, you can participate without a reservation on the day of the event. The participation fee is 1,800 yen for high school students and above, 900 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and free for preschoolers. The capacity is 100 people and is first-come, first-served. There are two content plans to choose from. In the semi-private star deck plan, you can enjoy the stars privately and also enjoy a bonfire. You can stay for up to 12 hours until 6am the next morning, making it ideal for those who want to enjoy the stars for a long time, such as time-lapse photography. However, advance reservations are required. The other content plan is the star firewood plan. There are five spaces available, and it includes the provision of firewood, chairs, and rental of the space. The usage fee is 5,000 yen per space, and one bundle of firewood is provided free of charge. Please note that the event is held throughout the year, and the available dates for the deck and firewood spaces can be checked on the business calendar.

Especially when stargazing, the weather forecast and temperature are very important, as a lot of clouds can obscure a perfect starry sky.
