Highlights

Point 1

Enjoy Specialty Gourmet Cuisine

Harunire Terrace Enjoy Specialty Gourmet Cuisine
At Harunire Terrace, with its stylish wooden deck, there are several unique restaurants where you can enjoy specialty cuisine such as Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and bakery items. Many of the dishes use fresh ingredients from the Nagano area, allowing you to savor the unique flavors of the region. Additionally, many of the restaurants have terrace seating, allowing you to enjoy your meal while feeling the refreshing breeze of Karuizawa.
Point 2

Enjoy Cafes and Sweets

Harunire Terrace Enjoy Cafes and Sweets
When you're feeling a little peckish or looking for souvenirs, we recommend two shops: Izumiya Denbee and HARVEST NAGAI FARM. At Izumiya Denbee, you can enjoy sweets that combine Japanese and Western flavors using seasonal fruits. At HARVEST NAGAI FARM, you can enjoy gelato made with fresh milk from the Nagai Farm, located at the foot of Mt. Asama. More than 40 flavors of gelato are sold throughout the year, making it a popular spot to encounter different tastes every time you visit.
Point 3

Enjoy Shopping

Harunire Terrace Enjoy Shopping
One of the ways to enjoy Harunire Terrace is to shop at stylish shops that make your daily life a little richer. For families with small children, we recommend two shops: Warando, which sells wooden toys, and NATUR TERRACE, which deals in popular Nordic furniture with simple yet practical designs. Many unique products are also available, so please try to find your favorite.
Point 4

Enjoy the "Umbrella Sky" at Night

Harunire Terrace Enjoy the "Umbrella Sky" at Night
The popular event held every year from June to July is the "Umbrella Sky". Colorful umbrellas are spread out in the sky of Hulunite Terrace, offering a limited-time spectacular view. Three times a day, there is also a bubble show, making it a great spot for taking photos. At night, the umbrellas are lit up, creating a different mood and atmosphere from during the day. It's also recommended as a dating spot for couples.
Point 5

Enjoy Autumn Foliage

Harunire Terrace Enjoy Autumn Foliage
Around Harunire Terrace, over 100 Harunire trees grow naturally, as the name suggests. Therefore, in autumn, you can see the leaves change color and enjoy the foliage. A course for walking in the forest is available around the terrace, so it's also recommended to take a walk away from the terrace. Within walking distance, there are plenty of places to enjoy, such as hot springs, associations, and village dining halls.

5 Minutes by Taxi from Nakakaruizawa Station
The nearest station to access Harnile Terrace is Nakakaruizawa Station on the Shinano Railway. It's about a 5-minute taxi ride or a 17-minute walk from the station. From JR Karuizawa Station, you can take the Seibu Kanko Bus and arrive in about 20 minutes. Guests staying at Hoshinoya Karuizawa or Hotel Bleston Court can also access the terrace by using the hotel's exclusive shuttle bus. Please check each hotel's official website for details on how to use the shuttle service.

Parking

Four Parking Lots Available
There are four permanent parking lots and temporary parking lots that are opened during busy periods such as Golden Week around the Harunire Terrace area. The P2 and P3 parking lots, which are the closest, are expected to be crowded, so it's recommended to use the P6 parking lot located in the back of Harunite Terrace, even though it's a bit further away. During normal periods, the first 30 minutes are free, and the parking fee is 300 yen per hour thereafter. There is also a great service where parking fees are free for up to two hours when using facilities in the surrounding area that cost over 2,000 yen.
