武田信玄ゆかりの寺で、本堂裏手には武田信玄の遺骨とされる骨壺が発見された場所と、その遺骨を祀った武田信玄の霊廟がある。

鎌倉時代創建の歴史あるお寺。立派な惣門と山門(楼門)があります。二十三夜塔などの石碑もありました。

佐久の寺院めぐりスタンプオリエンテーリングで訪れました。 こちらのお寺は武田信玄ゆかりのお寺とのことで、奥に武田信玄霊廟及び武田信玄遺骨出土地がありました。 歴史好きな方も好奇心旺盛になる、素敵なお寺だと思いました。 また、スタンプ頂く時に住職さんの奥さんとお話ししましたが、とても話しやすく楽しいお方でした。 スタンプを集めていて、様々な方々にお会い出来るのも、楽しいですね(*'-'*) 建造物の凄さや歴史、周辺の自然に触れるのも、もちろん楽しいですが♪
