In Nozawa Onsen, there are 27 stamp collection spots centered around historic sites and famous places. Ooyu is one of the stamp collection spots. These spots include hot spring facilities such as Ooyu and Amakettle Hot Springs, as well as temples and shrines such as the Hot Spring Yakushi Hall. If you collect 10 or more stamps out of the 27 spots, you can get a limited edition towel designed by Taro Okamoto. Access

3 and a Half Hours by Car from Tokyo!
Nozawa Onsen is located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, near the border with Niigata Prefecture. If you're coming by car from Tokyo, get off at the "Shiozawa-Ishiuchi IC" on the Kanetsu Expressway and continue along National Route 353. If you're using public transportation, get off at "Iiyama Station" on the Hokuriku Shinkansen and take a local bus or the Nozawa Onsen liner. Since there are many tourist spots around Nozawa Onsen, such as Shiga Kogen, we recommend accessing it by car, which makes it easy to move around.

Parking

Seven Parking Lots Available
There are seven parking lots in Nozawa Onsen: the first, second, and third parking lots, as well as the Nitta, Yokoochi, Nakao, and Central Terminal parking lots. The ones closest to the tourist information center are the Central Terminal, Yokoochi, and Nitta parking lots. The Yokoochi parking lot is closest to the hot spring town. There is no exclusive parking lot for Oyu in the hot spring town, so park at the Yokoochi parking lot and walk from there. The parking fees vary depending on the lot.

ここから坂を250mほど上がった先にある大湯専用の無料駐車場。 駐車は10台ちょっとは可能そう。 坂が結構キツイ為、車で高齢者と大湯に来る際は、先に大湯で降ろしてから駐車しに来たほうが良いと思う。 この先は「路駐禁止」なので、大湯に行く人はここか観光駐車場を必ず利用しよう。

鹿教湯温泉の方から山道を通り、別所温泉大湯を目指して走ってきました。大湯はすぐ分かったのですが、付近には駐車場が見当たりませんでした。 仕方なく、坂を下っていくと駐車場を発見! なんと「共同浴場大湯専用駐車場」と書かれているではないですか。しかも無料 大湯までは坂道を約5分ほど上っていくことになります。
