A Hidden Hot Spring Retreat About 40 Minutes from Ueda Station
Bessho Onsen, located in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, is a hidden hot spring retreat that can be reached by train and bus from JR Ueda Station in about 40 minutes. Take the Ueda Dentetsu Bessho Line from JR Ueda Station and get off at Bessho Onsen Station. From there, take the free shuttle bus to the hot spring. The free shuttle bus operates from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm to coincide with train schedules. Reservations are not required, so feel free to use it.
