At the "Yumura Onsen Local Celebrity Museum" located in Kofu Yumura Onsen, you can view exhibits related to literary figures associated with the hot spring resort and the history of the hot spring town. The museum is located in a room of the Yumura Onsen Ryokan Cooperative, and it takes about 10 minutes to view the exhibits, so be sure to stop by before going to your accommodation. Please note that the museum is closed on Sundays and holidays.

Visit a Power Spot in a Hot Spring Town

In Kofu Yumura Onsen, there is a shrine called Yutani Shrine, which enshrines the guardian deity of Yumura Onsen, Yutani Gongen. This shrine is a power spot in the hot spring town, with benefits such as matchmaking, health, and traffic safety. The grounds are filled with many attractions, such as a stone torii gate, stone steps, Koshin towers, and stone shrines. Every year on the Saturday and Sunday closest to August 10th, the "Yumura Furusato Festival" is held, and the grounds are bustling with many visitors.

10 Minutes by Taxi from Kofu Station

Kofu-Yumura Onsen is a hot spring located in a convenient location accessible from Nagano Prefecture and Tokyo. The nearest station, JR Kofu Station, is a 1 hour and 30 minute train ride from JR Matsumoto Station and JR Shinjuku Station, and a 2 hour train ride from JR Shizuoka Station. While it is possible to walk from the station to the hot spring resort, it takes more than 20 minutes, so we recommend using a taxi. By the way, if you take a taxi from the station, you can arrive in about 10 minutes.
