The parking lot is located right near the Kanmon Strait Museum. 毎日営業9:00~17:00(最終入場16:30) 夕方前ぐらいから見学し始めたので空いていてゆっくり見れました。 門司港から徒歩ですぐの立地、天候が悪くても楽しめるし子供も退屈しない素晴らしいミュージアムでした。5階の展望デッキは無料で入れて、関門海峡が一望出来ます♪ 1階の無料ゾーンは大正時代の門司港を再現した世界観が素晴らしく、有料ゾーンかと思うクオリティ!見所たくさんの施設なので滞在時間1.5〜2時間近くかかるかも。

建物が大きく、内部は開放感があり回廊が特徴的な吹き抜けの構造になっています。1階・2階は大正時代の門司の街を再現した街並み、お店、電車などを見ることが出来ます(無料) 有料ゾーンは2階〜4階にかけて回廊となっている海峡こども広場と4階を入口とし2階へ順に下っていくエリアになります。こども広場は時間帯によって入場制限があります。 中でも3階の関門海峡の歴史を伝えるコーナーは壇ノ浦合戦、巌流島の決闘、四境戦争など各時代に関連した人物が人形で造られ展示されており見入ってしまいます。複数の全く違う時代で起こった出来事が同じ場所で起こるのも珍しいですね。 最上階は展望デッキとなっており門司港だけでなく対岸の下関の眺めも良かったです。

大人も童心に返り、子供と楽しめる格安優良施設 有料エリアは時間を掛けると簡単に4時間経ってしまいます。随所にミニゲームがあり、どれも手頃で楽しく飽きさせません。ムービーも素晴らしかった。 ゲームは自前の顔ハメで笑いをとり、潜水艦を操作して海底を撮影したり、歴史の1人になりきってみたり、、、ボートの操縦や海底探査もありました。 スタッフさんも皆麗しくそして優しかった。ムービーが始まる時に展示室にいると声を掛けて下さったり、随所気遣いのお声掛けがありがたい。これで大人500円は安過ぎる! 今まで無料のレトロ街しか訪れた事がなく、損していたんやなぁと気付かされました。
