This shrine was built to honor Toyotama-hime and Tamayorihime, the second daughter of Wadatsumi no Kami. Access in about 10 minutes by car from Ibusuki Skyline Chiran IC
To access the Satsuma British Museum by public transportation, first take the Kagoshima Kotsu Bus bound for Chiran Tokko Kannon Entrance from the east exit of JR Kagoshima Chuo Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 12 minutes. The bus stop is "Buke Yashiki Iriguchi" and it's about a 5-minute walk from there to the museum. If you're using a car, take Route 23 from Ibusuki Skyline's Chiran IC and head towards the Satsuma British Museum. The journey takes about 10 minutes. By using these methods, you can easily access the Satsuma British Museum in Minamikyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture.
