There is also a paid foot bath called "Yukemuri no Sato" in the square. At the steamed food sales booth in the market, you can take out eggs and vegetables steamed with hot spring steam. The most popular item is the hot spring egg, which is steamed for an hour, giving it a slightly yellowish color and increasing its flavor. You can also enjoy hot spring manju, sausages, sweet corn, and sweet potatoes. There is also a covered foot bath in the square, which is so popular on weekends that there is often a waiting list. Towels are provided, so you can use it without bringing anything and enjoy soft serve ice cream while relaxing.

Kirishima Onsen is a general term for a hot springs area spreading to the southwest of Kirishima Mountain Range. There are nine hot springs of various sizes in this area, each located between an altitude of 600m to 850m. Named after the legend of Kirishima Mountain, Kirishima Onsen is blessed with beautiful natural surroundings. The hot springs in Kirishima Onsen have various qualities, and each spring has different effects. Depending on the quality, they are effective for symptoms such as neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, skin diseases, and coldness. There are also attractions such as Maruo Falls and Fubuki Falls around the hot springs area, and the oldest rock bath in Kirishima also exists. Furthermore, there are many ryokans and hotels in Kirishima Onsen, and the accommodation facilities are well-equipped. From here, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich nature of the mountain range as a base for Kirishima sightseeing. Access

Access from Yokogawa IC on Kyushu Expressway is about 35 minutes by car!
If you're using public transportation to access Kirishima Onsen, take the Kagoshima Kotsu bus from Kirishima Jingu Station and get on the bus heading to Kirishima Iwasaki Hotel. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes, and you'll get off at bus stops like Maruo or Iou-dani. If you're using a private car, take Prefectural Route 50 and National Route 223 from Yokogawa IC on the Kyushu Expressway to Kirishima Onsen. You'll travel about 20km on the road, which will take about 35 minutes.

部屋から浴場までが遠くかなり歩きました。途中に坂本龍馬の足取りが描かれてました。高知の三翠園の小ぶりばんですかね。硫黄の臭いが温泉に来た〜と。 大浴場も広々と1000人風呂みたいですし一人風呂、寝風呂、5〜6人風呂、時間により混浴になります。久しぶりの大浴場(これだけ入る)大変良かったです。
