天草観光タクシーの方に熊本県指定天然記念物の〝兜梅〟があるとのことで案内していただきました。 推定、樹齢500年とのこと! タイミング良く、住職の方が来られ直接お話しを聴くことができました^ ^ 小説家の司馬遼太郎さんと画家の須田剋太さんが観に来られたことがあり、特に司馬遼太郎さんはこの梅を気に入り2日連続で見にきたそうです!

納骨堂に先祖のお骨があるので子供の頃から訪れています。兜梅が有名。駐車場は保育園の駐車場と合わせて10台強あります。 自分にとっては馴染みのお寺です。
