The light up event at Oita Futamigaura is held every year from December 24th to January 4th, with the beautiful lighting centered around the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks) at night. While Oita Futamigaura offers beautiful scenery during the day, the illuminated night view is truly exceptional. The lighting takes place from 18:00 to 22:30, and on New Year's Eve, it is lit up all night. In addition, food stalls and illuminations are set up to further enhance the atmosphere. It's recommended for couples to take a romantic walk along the beach at night and enjoy the beautiful scenery. However, it's important to dress warmly to protect against the cold.

The Shioyu hot spring, located about a 5-minute drive from Bungo-Niimiura, uses filtered seawater for its bath, which has a skin-smoothing effect and provides the benefits of a hot spring. From the bath, you can see the nearby sea and listen to the sound of the waves, enjoying a luxurious time. Jouyama Historical Park, also known as Jouyama Park, is located in the center of Saiki City and features the remains of Saseki Castle, which was built during the Warring States period.
