Located at the easternmost point of Miyako Island, this is the longest cape on Miyako Island, measuring 2km in length. You can climb up the towering lighthouse and enjoy the sea of Miyako Island spreading out before you! It is also full of greenery, making it perfect for a drive.

There are only two lighthouses in Okinawa that you can climb, and one of them is the "Heianzaki Lighthouse". It is said that these numerous rocks were washed ashore by the Yaeyama earthquake tsunami that occurred on April 24, 1771, and they characterize the attractive landscape of Higashi Hiranozaki. Additionally, you can take a jinrikisha tour along the 1km round trip course from the parking lot to the lighthouse. You can also enjoy sanshin performances of Miyako folk songs, and the jinrikisha driver "Touya" provides humorous explanations about the plant life at Higashi Hiranozaki, making it a definite memory of your trip!
