Features & How to Enjoy

Highlights

Point 1

Enjoy the View from Escar-Naruto

Naruto Park Enjoy the View from Escar-Naruto
Escar-Naruto is a viewing spot where you can see all the way to Awaji Island, and enjoy a panoramic view from an altitude of 90 meters. To get to the observation deck, you can take the world's highest outdoor escalator with a length of 68 meters and a height difference of 34 meters, which takes about three minutes. Although it may be a little scary because it's made of glass, you can still enjoy the view while riding up.
Point 2

View the Naruto Whirlpools from the Senjojiki Observatory

Naruto Park View the Naruto Whirlpools from the Senjojiki Observatory
The "Senjojiki Observatory" is the observation deck closest to the Onaruto Bridge in Naruto Park. While it's nice to gaze at the Onaruto Bridge, what we want you to see are the Naruto Whirlpools! Depending on the time of day, you can see the whirlpools up close, so if you come to Naruto, please be sure to check them out! It seems that the whirlpools are more likely to occur during low and high tides, and the probability of their occurrence increases especially in spring and autumn.
Point 3

Get Souvenirs at Ogata Shop

Naruto Park Get Souvenirs at Ogata Shop
画像引用:おがた商店
At Senjojiki, there is a souvenir shop called Ogata Shop where you can purchase souvenirs and enjoy a meal. The shop offers a wide variety of souvenirs, including local specialties such as "sudachi" and "Naruto wakame," as well as "Ota-yaki" and "ai-zome" products. With so many options, you might have trouble deciding what to buy! In addition, they also offer "Naruto Kintoki potato gelato," "take chikuwa," "Tokushima ramen," and more, so be sure to stop by if you get hungry.
Point 4

View the Whirlpools from Above on the Uzu no Michi

Naruto Park View the Whirlpools from Above on the Uzu no Michi
The Uzu no Michi is a seaside promenade where you can take a stroll 45 meters above the sea while enjoying the view of the whirlpools and feeling the sea breeze. The observatory is 450 meters away, and a glass floor is installed at your feet, allowing you to look directly down at the whirlpools from above. It may be a little scary, but the whirlpools seen up close from the glass floor are incredibly powerful and will leave you amazed by the force of nature. It has been certified as the number one of the Shikoku 88 scenic spots, "Whirlpools viewed from 45 meters above the sea with overwhelming power," so it's a must-see!
Point 5

Learn About the Naruto Whirlpools and Tokushima at Eddie

Naruto Park Learn About the Naruto Whirlpools and Tokushima at Eddie
Next to the Uzushio Road, the "Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum Eddie" is a museum themed around "whirlpools" and "bridges", where you can learn about the mechanism of the Naruto whirlpools and the structure of the Onaruto Bridge from various angles. The facility offers experiences of Tokushima's culture in a 4K 360-degree theater with powerful images, and there are also fun corners where you can learn about the mechanism of the whirlpools. It's a facility that both adults and children can enjoy. If you visit together with the Uzushio Road, you can enter at a slightly cheaper price, so please come and visit together!

Parking

Naruto Park Peace of Mind with Paid Parking
Peace of Mind with Paid Parking
At Naruto Park, there are three parking lots, the first, second, and third, which can accommodate about 200 cars. Motorcycles cost 200 yen, while cars cost 500 yen. It's important to note that the park's operating hours are from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, so if you want to see the night view, be careful. Since Naruto Park itself is located just off the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway Naruto-Kita IC, we recommend coming by car!
