Experience the Nostalgic Atmosphere of "Yuyake Dandan"
One of the famous spots in Yanaka Ginza is "Yuyake Dandan". If you leave the west exit of JR Nippori Station and walk up the gentle Goten-zaka slope, you will find this meeting place just before Yanaka Ginza. As the name suggests, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset from this staircase at dusk. Looking at the lights of the shopping street spreading out under "Yuyake Dandan" and the people gathering there, you will feel a nostalgic atmosphere.

History

The History of the Culture of "Shopping Streets"
The Yanaka Ginza shopping street was formed spontaneously around 1945. Since then, it has developed into a neighborhood shopping street and has become a popular destination for visitors from far and wide, including overseas, as the center of exploring the downtown area in the Heisei era. However, with the changing times, the flow of people to the shopping street is decreasing. While adapting to the flow of the times, it is our mission to preserve the culture of shopping streets for future generations by valuing the good old business customs.
