The most popular plan is the "Niomaru Course," which is affordable and takes about 50 minutes to tour the islands of Matsushima on a large sightseeing boat. The course to tour also varies, and it's a delightful point that you can choose from several types, including 25, 40, and 60-minute courses. There are many tourist spots near the boarding area for the "Matsushima Island Tourist Boat". "Entsuin Temple", located a 5-minute walk from the boarding area, is crowded during the autumn leaf illumination event held from late October to mid-November. Near the "Godaido" which is designated as an important cultural property of the country, there is one of the red bridges in Matsushima called "Sukashibashi", which is also known as a matchmaking bridge. Crossing the 252-meter-long vermilion-painted bridge that stands out in Matsushima leads to "Fukuura Island". Fukuura Island has been designated as a prefectural natural botanical garden, making it a recommended spot for walks. Enjoy Matsushima by taking the "Matsushima Island Tourist Boat" and visiting these spots!

The "Matsushima Island Tourist Boat" offers green seats with tables and sofas installed. For an additional fee of 600 yen for adults (junior high school students and above) and 300 yen for children (elementary school students), you can use them. (Preschoolers are free.) Tickets are sold on board, so you can purchase them according to your mood after boarding. You can also use the open observation deck on the second floor and enjoy views further away while feeling the wind of Matsushima Bay. Taking photos on the observation deck is also recommended.

There is a plan to enjoy a barbecue on Katsura Island, a remote island in Matsushima Bay. It is available year-round for groups of 10 to 40 people with advance reservations. Of course, you can also enjoy a sightseeing tour of Matsushima Bay at the same time. You can stay on Katsura Island for about 60 to 90 minutes, so after the barbecue, you can also enjoy a stroll around the island. The price is a great deal at 5,000 yen for adults and 4,000 yen for children (up to elementary school) including the ferry fare and meal cost.

Parking

Multiple Parking Lots Near the Boarding Area
Near the boarding area, there are several parking lots that continue towards the direction of the "Matsushima Park 1st Parking Lot" and "Matsushima Park 3rd Parking Lot" of the "Zuiganji Godaido". Please note that the "Matsushima Park 2nd Parking Lot" in between is for bus parking only. There is also a "Matsushima Park 4th Parking Lot" towards the station side, and there are many parking lots in the surrounding area, so you can also use parking lots located a little further away during crowded times.

The regular admission fee is 1,500 yen for adults (junior high school students and above), 750 yen for children (elementary school students), and free for infants (under elementary school age). There is also a 10% group discount for groups of 15 or more. Depending on the season, there may be special discount campaigns, so don't forget to check the official website! In addition, there is a "Green Seat" that can be used for an additional fee on top of the regular admission fee, which allows you to enjoy the view of Matsushima Bay from the open 2nd floor observation deck.

2025.04.24に利用。 15時の便です。 4隻ほどの船が14時45分頃に一斉に帰ってきます。 私達の仁王丸は先端の右側岸壁。 乗り込んでから奥のカウンターでグリーン券を買うと2階に登れます。 ガラガラでしたのでゆっくりと見学できました。 船は大きくて窓も広いのでデッキに出なくても景色は良いです。 尚、インターネット予約をしておけば600円引きですのでグリーン券分はタダと言うことになります。 予約完了のメールを見せる必要があります。

松島3回目です。今回は妻と一緒です。遊覧船は、今季最強寒波到来と重なりメチャ寒い日となったのと、船内からも景観が楽しめ、1番大きくて安定感のある仁王丸さんに決めました。 平日なのに思ったより混んでいたのでグリーン席を乗船後に購入しました。乗船券プラス1人600円ですが買って良かったです。暖かいし、ゆったりと窓際に座って景観を楽しむことができました。暑い時期や寒い日はお勧めです♪ ココは先着順に購入し、指定席ではないので出遅れると窓際の席は取れませんので、早めの乗船もまたお勧めします。 しかし、昔はカモメの餌やりとかできましたが、さすがに今は環境的に禁止みたいで無くなってました笑笑

松島の美しい景色が堪能出来て、アナウンスで丁寧に島の説明もしてくれますし、とても楽しめました。 窓側はすぐに埋まってしまって、せっかくだからと追加で600円払って、二階席に行きました。 窓側に座りたい場合は、早めに並ぶことをオススメします。 そして、右側に島が多くあるので、右側に座るといいと思います。
