Tsuyama Castle was a hirayama-style castle built by Mori Tadamasa in 1616, and the ruins of the castle are symbolized by the heavily fortified stone walls and Bitchu-yagura. It is also the location of the "Tsuyama Sakura Festival," and the sight of 1,000 cherry blossom trees surrounding the castle is breathtaking! The night cherry blossoms viewed from the castle tower are also amazing.

Admission is 300 yen for adults and 200 yen for university and high school students.

Within Walking Distance from JR Tsuyama Station
The Tsuyama Castle Ruins (Tsuruyama Park) is a conveniently located tourist spot within walking distance from JR Tsuyama Station. It's a 10-minute walk from the station, but for those who find walking difficult, it's recommended to rent a bicycle from the rental shop in front of the station. If you're coming by car, it's about a 15-minute drive from the Tsuyama IC and Insyu IC on the Chugoku Expressway. There is also a parking lot on the premises, so please use it.

城の東を流れる宮川から見ると石垣の造りがユニークである事がよく解ります。 城内にはいると石垣はキッチリと作られていて保持管理が行き届いていました。 桜時期だったのでライトアップもあり夜の津山城も情緒があって良かったです。昼間は又青空と桜と菜の花と石垣見応えがありました。どちらも観光出来て良かったです。

城内とても綺麗でした。無料駐車場小さめがあります。 かなり階段があるので足の悪い方など難しいです。 本丸まではいかなかったですが本丸まで行くと更に高い場所なので眺めが絶景だったと思います。足に自身のある方は必ず登ってください。入城料200円台だと思います。 トイレもあり桜が満開のときがおすすめだと思います。

2024.11訪問。 城と言うよりも、城趾ですね。 フェンスなど使わず、ロープで落下防止をしています。 個人的には、眺望なども良くいいと思いますが…少し危ないので気をつけてください。
